The Bio-Energy School of Ireland
Discover the world of energy healing with us.
ORLA McGRATH
Orla McGrath was born in London but at an early age her family moved back to Ireland. She was brought up in Fermoy Co. Cork where she was educated with the Loretto Sisters and is now most definitely a fully fledged Cork-woman.
From day one Orla showed a natural flair for the Arts and went on to complete a degree in Woven Textiles in the National College of Art and Design, Dublin. With a keen eye for colour she began to notice in her teens that she could actually see different hues surrounding friends, family and even strangers. With a little bit of research she discovered that she was actually seeing the electromagnetic field which surrounds us all and was amazed to find that this could actually be used to assist healing. With little knowledge but lots of curiosity for this healing field she began her quest for answers to what she was experiencing.
This search led Orla to studying Bio-Energy in Dublin in 1997. On the course she discovered her natural ability to see energy extended into a powerful talent for sensing and feeling energy. Orla’s high level of education and natural talent brought about an interest in teaching and she subsequently began working with training others in the therapy in 1998. She travelled to Scotland, England and N.Ireland to spread the word of this amazing and potent healing therapy and to work on training courses. Through running workshops and participating in clinics she has truly found use for her natural talent and also for her love of working with people.
Through training others to work with energy Orla has brought her own unique perspective into play. She manages to encourage others to open their eyes fully to the beauty and colour that is evident in the world when you know how to see it. Orla’s natural ability in this area has proven to be one of her most potent gifts. Over the years she has introduced countless numbers of people to the possibility, and the realization of that possibility, of actually seeing the rainbow of myriad colours which pulsates through all of our energy fields. She has even gone a step further and trained many to understand what these colours relate to and how they can be used to aid people with their own healing and the healing of others.
Orla is currently living in Dublin with her partner and their daughter where she runs a very successful Bio-Energy Therapy practice and also teaches on the training courses with The Bio-Energy School of Ireland of which she is a co-founder.
Orla says:
“To have the opportunity to understand my gift through using Bio-Energy was amazing, but the sense of awe which I still feel every time I do a session on someone and watch them develop and heal is mind-blowing. Never in my wildest dreams did I envision that this is somewhere I’d end up. To be able to work with others and help them to share in my gift and eventually learn to develop their own gifts is by far the most rewarding work I could ever do. I love to see the surprise and wonder in their eyes as the world of colour opens up to them.” Back to Top
SINEAD WOODS
Sinead Woods was born and bred in Kilbarrack on the north side of Dublin. She grew up in a family which fostered a great sense of caring and compassion for others in her. Little did she know this would be one of her greatest assets for the future.
She received a broad education locally and was lucky to have attended schools which allowed her to develop many skills and talents outside of the academics. Her first love though was always sport of any description and she took part in any kind of sporting activity she could.
Once she finished secondary school she headed off to study Leisure and Recreation Management. While on this course she also gained qualifications in coaching and refereeing of many differing sports. Through this she discovered a new sport, volleyball, which was to become one of her main pastimes, along with sailing, and in which she gained several All-Ireland medals.
Having completed this qualification she went further with her studies and signed up with Litton Lane Dance Studios on her 21st birthday to gain an internationally recognised qualification in aerobics and weight training. From here she landed herself the job of her dreams working in the newly opened sports complex in Dublin City University.
Unfortunately almost immediately disaster struck and she had barely had a chance to use her hard-earned qualifications when she became very unwell. Over a period of 8 years she suffered with severe pains, stiffness and swelling in almost all of her joints rendering her incapable of performing any sustained physical activity or being able to sit at rest. She had developed a nasty form of Arthritis. Her world was shattered. Overnight her wonderful life suddenly became painful, depressing and worst of all left her totally dependent just as she was about to step into the joy of adult independence and reap the rewards of all her hard work.
During this time she tried every conceivable form of treatment available in both the general and complimentary medicine fields. After 8 years at a standstill she had more or less given up hope of ever having a normal healthy life and then her brother found Bio-Energy and arranged for her to undergo treatment. From day one of her sessions she knew something was different with this therapy. Things started to change and soon enough she could feel significant improvements in her pain levels. Eventually she recovered completely from the debilitating illness.
Her amazement at what this therapy had done for her pushed her to learn about it. She enrolled on the next training course and discovered a new world of working with energy opening up. Over the period of the course she developed her sensitivity to feeling energy and discovered a natural talent for working with those who were unwell. Through her own experience of illness she had developed a strong sense of empathy and compassion for those who are suffering. This mixed with her ability to sense energy has made for a well-rounded, practical and grounded therapist. She has been working as a therapist since the late 1990’s and runs an extremely successful practice where she has treated people from all over the world.
With her background in coaching, Sinead has a natural talent for teaching and passing on information. Almost immediately after sitting her exams and gaining first class results she was approached to begin working on training courses. She took to this like a duck to water and has found that this is her real niche in life. She will always run her private therapy practice but teaching others about Bio-Energy with The Bio-Energy School of Ireland, of which she is a co-founder, has become her first love.
Sinead says:
“Finding Bio-Energy Therapy was a miracle for me. I thought my life was going to be lived under the dark cloud of illness and pain but with doing the Bio-Energy sessions and the training course that cloud has quite literally lifted. My life has well surpassed where it was before I became unwell. Now I fully appreciate every minute and every experience I encounter. I’ve learned how to keep myself healthy, happy and full of enthusiasm. Undoubtedly being able to help others is fantastic and I’ve been lucky to be able to mix my love of teaching with this great therapy. I can now happily say that those 8 years I spent in the wilderness were by far the best of my life, they taught me things I could never learn anywhere else and gave me an appreciation for life which exceeds anything I’d ever have imagined. Now I’m delighted to have the chance to give this opportunity to others.” Back To Top
